Media designers and advertising agency trainees learn more at Iweco. In general, our trainees were grappling with the decision of whether to start professional training or post-secondary studies. However, there is no guarantee for a job after receiving a university degree. In addition, the methods employed at German universities are not designed to keep pace with the explosive expansion of know-how in all scientific and technological areas.
The education system is especially inadequate in addressing the use of new media and technologies. But even in the empirical sciences such as communications research, we usually just end up parroting things American researchers discovered years ago. Like many independent enterprises, Iweco is much quicker to act thanks to its global contacts.
Another factor is that our "lessons" have to prove themselves in day-to-day practice, and have been doing for nearly 25 years.
